Hair loss used to be something you worried about in your 40s and 50s. These days, it’s showing up in people’s twenties and thirties, sometimes even earlier. If you’ve been noticing more hair on your pillow, in the shower drain, or in your hairbrush lately, you’re far from alone.

Chronic stress is one of the biggest drivers of hair loss in young adults, and most people underestimate just how much it affects the body. When you’re constantly overwhelmed, running on poor sleep, and pushing through high-pressure work schedules, your hair growth cycle takes the hit. Frequent heat styling, coloring, and chemical treatments weaken hair shafts over time and lead to breakage. Add urban pollution and harsh weather into the mix and your scalp is dealing with a lot, especially if it’s not getting the right care.
Some daily shedding is completely normal. But if you’re seeing a sudden increase in hair fall, a visibly widening parting, a receding hairline, or patchy loss, it’s time to get a proper diagnosis. The earlier you catch what’s driving it, the easier it is to treat and the more hair you can hold onto.
